Full definition

Demand validation is the practice of checking buyer behavior before investing heavily in product or offer creation. It looks for evidence such as booked conversations, waitlist intent, deposits, paid pilots, or other actions that are stronger than praise.

Why it matters

It reduces the risk of spending months producing something nobody has shown a willingness to buy.

Example

Setting a threshold of three paid pilots before building a service, then running conversations until the threshold is met or clearly missed.
